  • We certainly do! We serve our popular soup with artisan bread and a range of freshly baked croissants and cakes on the sweet counter. We’ll soon be launching a new menu for hearty refuels and social brunches, so stay tuned.

  • No-Hands Rest is a climbing move where you use techniques such as foot plants, heel hooks,  or kneebars to rest your hands during long pitches. This relief is comparable to finally  sitting down after a tiring day on your feet. With  an origin story very much entwined with rock  climbing, we chose this term to capture the  essence of what we do here; hold space for you  to rest amongst the chaos.

  • Travelodge car park pay & display by machine - available on Ringo app (29127). There are limited on-street spaces on the other side of the river, directly opposite the cafe. There is also a pay & display public car park at Kendal Parish Church (3 minute walk).

  • Our cakes are not suitable for people with nut allergies as all of our products are baked in the same bakery. However, the bakery is 100% peanut free.

  • Our cake options vary, but generally we have at least 2 gluten-free cakes on offer.

  • Yes, we have south-facing riverside seating under parasols, away from traffic, and with the  occasional otter swimming by.

  • Absolutely, and soon, we’ll have a bike lock-up  station to keep your trusty stead safe.
